How I got rid of my cellulite in just 7 days

Jul 04, 2023

Before going on holiday we all want to feel our best.

Just one week ago I looked down during one of my yoga practices and noticed this:

My cellulite was very visible and the most it had been in a long time...

Initially, I said to myself; right, I have to exercise more and eat less.

BUT..

That’s not true.

I know exactly what caused my cellulite and I know exactly how to reduce it.

That’s what I want to share with you in this blog post.🤗

In the past I would have beaten myself up and tried exercising more, doing more cardio,

->> Running, walking, sprints walking up stairs, etc.

BUT, with time I’ve realised that this only makes it WORSE!

What really works is going back to the basics with food & lifestyle and NOT overdoing it with exercise.

Of course working out is important but you want to do unloaded exercises that lighten up your legs and builds strength without causing stress on the body.

In other words, my workouts☺️

So in addition to the steps I’ll share with you below, the most important thing I did was to commit to doing the 7 day challenge in my program. Here is the free trial!

Even though I mostly live by the principles I share in this program, I sometimes veer off of it.

And when I do, I notice the difference in my body almost immediately, and oftentimes it’s in the form of cellulite, lack of energy & brain fog.

The good news is, it doesn’t take more than a few days for things to improve and for the cellulite to vanish

Before I go into the tips, let’s get clear on what cellulite is:

First of all, What is cellulite?

Cellulite is fat that collects in pockets just below the surface of the skin. It forms around the hips, thighs, and buttocks. Cellulite deposits cause the skin to look dimpled.

Is it possible that we can reduce it ourselves?

Hell YES!

For years I thought it was genetics and impossible to prevent. But after experimenting, researching and trying everything for you - I have some practical tools which will help you reduce your cellulite.

DISCLAIMER: There is nothing WRONG with cellulite, but there is also nothing wrong with wanting to prevent / reduce it & feel your best.❤️

If you do have cellulite, don’t worry, so do I!

Here are the 7 steps that always work to reduce your cellulite⬇️

1// Unloaded strengthening exercises.

Such as: Pilates, Yoga, body weight exercises. these help to not only strengthen the muscles but elongate them, stretch them and make you feel and look leaner.

All of the exercises are included in the 7 Day Challenge🤩

2// Your food!🥑

We want to stick to foods which are detoxifying for the body. Some examples: leafy greens, fresh vegetables, healthy fats & lean protein.

3// Dry brushing.

Dry brushing unclogs pores in the exfoliation process.

It also helps detoxify your skin by increasing blood circulation and promoting lymph flow/drainage. Some claim that dry brushing can reduce the appearance of cellulite because it has similar effects on the body as massage.

->> Don’t dry brush too vigorously as it is exfoliating, if you do have sensitive skin, be careful. When you first start dry brushing, it’s best to begin with light brushing. As you get used to it, you can increase the pressure. Start at your feet and move up your body. Brush your skin using wide, circular, clockwise motions.

More on Dry Brushing⬇️

>> Start with the front and back of the right foot and work your way towards the lower thigh.

Brush from the lower leg to the thigh and then brush on to the right buttock. Then swipe the left side (from the foot to the lower leg and to thigh and buttock) in the same way. Copy this approach for the arms.

>> When it comes to the stomach, it is important to follow the course of the colon to rule out any blockage. For this, you start on the bottom right side of the abdomen and brush upwards in small strokes until you approach the ribs. From there, brush horizontally to the left and continue down from there. It is important to brush clockwise.

I hope this helps❤️

4// Cold shower on your legs.🚿

This is a great way to improve your blood circulation and the texture of your skin.

5// Moisturise and massage!

Now that your circulation is good, you can grab your favourite oil and massage your legs, simply smoothing them out and getting that blood flowing.

6// Lie with your legs on the wall.

This is a 2 in 1! Do a meditation and lie for 10 minutes a day with your legs on the wall. This is a way to lighten your legs, reset your nervous system, Improve blood circulation and make your legs feel lighter in the morning.

7// Hydration!

Make sure you are staying hydrated throughout the day for overall health. Water also helps to get rid of excess fat cells from the body, it also flushes out toxins.

Implement these tips as often as you can, or do them for 7 days straight and watch your body flourish!✨😍

Things which make cellulite worse are:

🍷 Alcohol my friends. Sorry to break it but those toxins get stored in your tissues and cause dehydration.

💦 Dehydration. If you’re not drinking enough water, your body can’t evacuate the toxins from your body and they get stored

😴 Lack of sleep & rest. It’s when you sleep that your body can repair itself and transform. Don’t expect your body to change for the better if you don’t give it the time to do so!

😩 Stress and running around like a crazy person. I know I’m guilty of this and my body always gives me clear signs that it’s time to slow down.

The 7 day challenge I did this week to reduce my cellulite is available here.

I hope this blog post helps you and allows you to take control, make some changes and most importantly - feel your best!💪🏻

PRODUCTS I USE / RECOMMEND:

  • Dry Brush: See here - The brush you use does not have to be special or expensive. One with a long handle is usually easier to use.
  • Moisturiser: You really don’t need to invest in an expensive moisturiser, in my experience it’s the massaging that really makes a difference so it’s not worth investing the extra money into something specifically designed to reduce cellulite.
  •  I like to alternate between moisturizers and oils as both have their benefits.

Moisturiser: See here

Oil: See here

If you’re a Fit Body Fresh Mind member it’s included in the program and available to you all summer when you need a reset!☀️
