Why dieting doesn't work. And 3 things that DO work.

Have you been relying on discipline and willpower to eat less?

 

I hate to break it to you but...
 

This is what keeps you STUCK in a cycle of being “really good” then “really bad”.
 
Here are 3 things which should be a top priority instead:
 
🍏 Eliminating Processed Foods ->


Processed foods have been proven to cause toxic hunger meaning the more you eat of them, the hungrier you get.

I know it may sound crazy but this is how the food industry makes money: by getting you hooked on their foods.


We're not just talking about cookies, crisps and pizza here.


We're talking about EVERYTHING that comes out of a packet: pasta, bread, processed cheese, snacks, protein bars etc.


They literally highjack your tastebuds and modify your gut bacteria to make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to NOT overeat, even with a ton of discipline.
 


🥑 Nutrient-Dense Foods ->


Prioritise nutrient-dense foods you can find in nature.

These are the foods you were designed to eat as a human. 


They will give you the most energy, boost your immune system and improve your gut health.
They're also what make you feel nourished and satiated.


We're talking lean protein (I personally prefer animal protein such as fish, beef, chicken and seafood) green leafy vegetables, fruits, root vegetables and healthy fats. 


These foods not only support your overall health but also help you feel fuller for longer.
 
❤️‍🩹 Identify your emotional triggers ->


As humans we often use food to comfort ourselves, to deal with stress or to reward ourselves.
By doing this, we eat MORE than we need which often leads to bloating, guilt and more overeating.


Beating yourself up will NOT solve this problem.


Instead, use a food diary to track what situations & feelings cause you to overeat.


Oh..and meal prepping.


You're busy, I get that.


But eating healthy becomes SOOO MUCH easier when you meal prep.
