My Story

Despite what I may look like, I haven't always been the picture of health!

Being fit and feeling good in my body has always been a priority, but in my early twenties, that priority turned into an obsession.

I became so consumed with looking a certain way that I lost track of how it was making me feel, and the toll it was taking on my mental health.

I was spending every spare minute working out, and I would feel guilty the moment I missed an exercise session or indulged in something 'naughty.'

I was working out to eat and eating to exercise, leaving no room to actually enjoy life.

When Healthy Wasn’t Healthy

I thought I was doing everything right when, in reality, I had gotten it all wrong, and my body was showing me the signs.

I was bloated, tired, and I couldn´t understand how I could feel so crappy considering I was technically doing what is "healthy."

Eventually, I got injured and then diagnosed with IBS, Candida & PCOS.

My poor body had had enough of the never-ending calorie-burning workouts and of being denied proper fuel for the sake of eating low-calorie.

How I Began to Heal

Thankfully, it's often in times of crisis that new things are given the chance to flourish.

I started to educate myself about food, fitness, and mindfulness. I swapped my calorie-burning workouts for Pilates, and after seeing the amazing results it had on my body and on my mind, I decided to become a teacher so I could share the method with others.

I transformed my way of eating and my relationship with food, and learned to stop living in fear of calories and to embrace nutrients instead.

Finally, I healed my mind, and I learned to appreciate my body for all the things it does for me instead of hating it for the parts I didn't like.

 

Strong Through The Challenges

In recent years, life brought me new challenges through hypothyroidism, H. pylori, and autoimmune struggles. There were moments when it would have been easy to feel defeated or disconnected from my body.

But instead, these experiences deepened my belief in the very approach I teach. By focusing on nourishment, stress reduction, mindful movement, and supporting my body rather than punishing it, I’ve stayed strong, lean, and happy in my body even while navigating illness.

This way of living has also supported my healing and reminded me that health isn’t built through extremes, but through consistency, compassion, and learning to work with your body instead of against it.

You can’t punish your way to a Fitter Body & a Fresher Mind. You have to nourish your way there — physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Helping women feel good in their bodies is my mission, and it extends further than my coaching practice. Every booking helps animals find safety and a second chance.

For each client I work with, 5% of revenue goes to All Seated In a Barn, a rescue dedicated to saving horses from slaughter, or Nosara Animal Care, which finds loving homes for rescued dogs. You choose the charity you want to support and I make a donation in your name
