I Was Bloated, Swollen & Burnt Out—Until I Did THIS

Mar 19, 2025

There’s so much pressure these days to do more for our fitness—tougher workouts, more extreme practices, always pushing harder.

We’re constantly bombarded with messages that tell us if we’re not pushing ourselves to the limit, we’re not doing enough.

But what if doing too much is actually working against you?

That’s exactly what happened to me.

I pushed my body to the extreme—running myself into the ground with endless workouts, strict calorie counting, and constantly chasing the next level of 'discipline.'

But instead of getting leaner and stronger, my body fought back:

❌ My hormones crashed, and I lost my period.

❌ My hunger felt insatiable no matter how much I ate, leading to emotional eating and guilt.

❌ I felt constantly bloated and swollen.

❌ My metabolism slowed down, making it harder to lose weight despite all the effort.

❌ I was exhausted, burnt out, and emotionally drained, feeling like nothing was ever enough.

The harder I pushed, the worse things got. And I know I’m not alone in this.

So many people I speak to feel like they’re not doing enough, yet the more they do, the worse they feel.

The truth is, the female body wasn’t designed to be pushed to the edge with fitness.

When we overdo it, our body goes into survival mode—holding onto fat, slowing metabolism, and disrupting hormones as a way to protect us.

Of course, exercise is important. But there needs to be balance.

Fitness should make your life better—not take over your life.

I get that if you’ve spent years believing you have to hustle your body into shape, the idea of slowing down might feel terrifying.

It did for me too.

But slowing down doesn’t mean giving up. It doesn’t mean you stop caring about getting lean or strong.

It means being strategic—focusing only on the things that actually move the needle and letting go of the things that don’t.

If you’re feeling bloated, swollen, or burnt out from doing too much, this is your sign to pause, rethink, and start doing things better.

If your hormones are out of whack, your period has stopped, or you feel emotionally all over the place, this is also your sign.

This Sunday, I’m sharing the exact steps I took to go from burnt out, bloated & stuck— to getting in the best shape of my life in my 40s.

And because I don’t just want to give you the information, I want to make sure you have the tools to truly transform.
