Day 5 - A deficiency in this will cause brain fog, fatigue and digestive discomfort

Dec 20, 2021

Today´s topic is one of the most obvious, yet widely-overlooked factors in a healthy life.

Water is one of the most neglected sources of nourishment in standard diets.

When I ask my clients why that is, they usually say they prefer something with more flavor, or that they simply forget to drink water.

I always encourage my clients to make drinking water as much of a habit in the morning as brushing their teeth.

Start your day with a big glass of water when you wake up. It helps kick start your metabolism and clear out the mind fog.

Hot water with lemon is great but plain water is fine too!

Then aim to have at least seven glasses throughout your day – hydration is critical to proper health, and a crucial step to avoiding junk food binges.

If you drink alcohol, make sure to alternate every glass of alcohol with a glass of water. Alcohol is really dehydrating and staying hydrated will help reduce hangovers!

If the taste of pure water really doesn’t appeal to you, or that you want to offer your guests something a little special this Christmas, try adding one of the following to jazz it up:

  • lemon and lime slices
  • strawberries and mint
  • chia and pomegranate seeds
  • grapefruit segments
  • blueberries and basil
  • sliced grapes

You’ll be making tantalizing infusions in no time, that you and your guests won’t be able to resist!
